This second edition from the series is from our good friend, good human and good artist - Cameron J West. He had a fantastic exhibition with us earlier this year, and has put together a very special, poignant poster for the series.
Here's some words from Cameron about the print:
This is a special design commemorating the show that the band Her’s played at Brighton’s Sticky Mike’s Frog Bar in October 2018. Her’s are one of my all-time favourite bands and I adore the music they made and the legacy they left. Sticky Mike’s gave me some of my first ever design jobs and in many ways were the doorway into design within the music industry for me. As with a lot of my work, the design is laced with hidden details and references, to songs and lyrics. With special thanks to the team at Heist or Hit and Honey Moon.
All prints are A3 size, a limited edition of 10, stamped and numbered by The Social and printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag paper.
Social 25 Print Series - Raising Money for Music Venue Trust
A new print series from The Social to mark our 25th anniversary, working with some of our favourite artists on special limited edition prints raising money for the Music Venue Trust.
The designs may be a reimagining of a classic gig poster from the artists' favourite venue, perhaps one which has long since closed, or an original creation of a dream show that never was but they would loved to have seen. We are joining together with some exciting visual artists and creators to have some fun and freedom with this idea and most importantly to celebrate live music spaces, clubs and pubs, and the bands and artists that form and perform in them.
